Great location, helpful staff. Rooms small, but the price was good. Lots of porch/balcony space with chairs made up partly for room size. Breakfast was good for a cold (non-cooked) breakfast. Biggest problem was wifi, which was hit or miss, mostly miss, and it wasn't a signal strength issue because we were right on top of it. Perhaps inadequate capacity, which I've found at many other places.

Great location on the south end of Duval. So plenty distance away from the madness. Very cute room. Tiny pool (don't expect to be doing any laps). Breakfast in the mornings on the patio. Easy walking distance to the cute places we went on the south end of Duval. A bit of a hike if you're looking to be in with all the action on the North end of Duval. If you are staying in a room by the pool, you can hear everything if people are in the pool. If you don't mind a little noise, they are great rooms. If you want more R&R, ask for a room away from the pool.

Room is very very small, so it is with the rest room. But the shower space is OK. All the facilities that a hotel should equip were equipped in good order, and soaps/shampoos in the room are very good, not those usual shabby ones. We didn't try their breakfast, but the homemade Mango juice is icy and tasting good. One more flaw is that there're just 6 parking places in the hotel, so very big chance you have to find parking place by yourselves in the nearby Virginia St or Whitehead St. It's no easy task because you cannot park on the spots marked as "residential parking". I took about 20 minutes and luckily found one.

A cozy little bed and breakfast away from the madness at the other end of Duval Street. This sleepy little inn is certainly a no-frills spot, but what I do appreciate is the off-set nature of the rooms. Rather than what I'm used to with most bed and breakfasts, the rooms here feel more like mini efficiencies since they're not just rooms in a larger house. A diminutive heated pool and a handful of chaise lounges offer the tropical experience you might long for in the Keys. Location is ideal and the few parking spaces they offer are clutch (if you're lucky enough to score one). Alas, if their designated spots prove popular, they can help direct you to meter and permit-free nearby street spots. For $190/night, I found the price to be a little steep for what was offered, but in season, I suppose the demand exceeds supply in the Keys. This is more a 3.5 experience and sure beats staying in a budget motel along Roosevelt Blvd.

This was my first time staying at a B&B, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We stayed here with 4 other members of my family (so three rooms total). Christina helped us check-in, she is a great asset to this establishment. Our room was #22, upstairs, with a queen bed, it was a little on the small side. I wish there had been a closet, but I put everything into the drawers. Nice flat screen TV on the wall. The bathroom was ok, we would have loved a mirror over the sink, as my husband found it a little cumbersome to get his contacts in every morning. It took a while at times to get the hot water to come on, and the drain in the shower was clogged, I'm sure it would have been fixed, though, if we had reported it. A sign in the bathroom says if you would like your towels replaced, leave them on the floor, otherwise hang them up - every morning we left our towels hanging up, but when housekeeping came, they took them and gave us fresh towels, so I was confused about the policy on the sign, it didn't seem like they followed it. With those small critiques out of the way: this B&B is very nicely located, we walked everywhere, which was great. The A/C in the room worked well, we also used the 'fan' function on there as white noise, as people passing by on the street can get noisy, especially late at night. We rented a car for one day to drive to the other keys, we were unable to park it that night because all the spaces (there are 5 or 6 spaces, total, so take note) were taken, however, we were able to park the car at the sister hotel a few blocks away, this is a nice option, they certainly do not have to offer that. We did not partake in the breakfast, since we are late sleepers, but I did like it that breakfast was offered until 10:30, most hotels stop serving at 9-ish. Housekeeping came every day, and our room was always very clean. Overall, we had a great time.

Loved this little bed and breakfast... conveniently located on Duval Street off Truman (make when you get into Key West and go down to Duval make left and hotel is on the right) They do offer a few parking spaces that if you get there early enough are readily available. The "Front Desk" (B&B manager who is there only until 6 PM) will give you a paper to put on your dash. We got the "Orchid Room" !! Super cute how all the rooms are names by various flowers usually found in gardens. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the room! It was the King Efficiency. Amazing! Romantic bed, beautiful bathroom.. Breakfast was GOOD! Had seen some reviews saying breakfast was so so but i actually liked it! Bagels, toast, muffins, fruit, granola, coffee, orange juice and milk. What else do you need!?!?

We stayed two nights, during the week, in early June. First night we paid 149 for the king room with a kitchen. Second night I asked if they had a midweek rate (I knew they had several rooms check out and hoped they'd be willing to try and keep us there). Lowered the second night price to 129. We had the king room upstairs in the back, that's sort of disconnected from the main building. We didn't need a kitchen but it was the last room they had when we checked in. Came in handy when we reheated leftovers from Mo's the next day and saved a few bucks on yet another restaurant meal. It had a closet as well as dresser and nightstands, so plenty of storage and it was a pretty big room over all. The bathroom was small but clean and efficient and everything worked as it should. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings were beachy/cottage looking without being over the top cutesy or antique. Breakfast on the porch was limited but fresh. My husband likes meat for breakfast and he would have preferred they have some thing other than, or in addition to, the hard boiled eggs for protein. Brianna was our inkeep and she was nice and gave plenty of suggestions. The location was good for everything. Just a block or two from the crazy locations on Duval so you can stumble home from Irish Kevin's, just steps away from Hemingway's house and the lighthouse, decent walk to the fort for the best beach. We saw all the roosters around but never heard any. There is also a pharmacy and laundromat just down the road which was convenient. They have a handful of parking spots on the side of the hotel but offer parking at their sister property if you can't find anything on a nearby street or feel uncomfortable with the street parking. Overall, a restful night's sleep close enough to places to play.

I stayed here with my girlfriend (Emily B.). This place is so quaint and comfortable. I would stay here again in a minute. Roger, the manager, was helpful and considerate. The room was always clean, as was the rest of the B&B. It's on the small side, but you didn't feel it when you were in your room. I would definitely suggest anyone looking to stay on the opposite end of Duval, away from the noise, to stay here. Each room has a small fridge for leftovers, water or drinks.

It's a place to sleep. A perfectly air conditioned place to sleep anyway. If you're looking for a comfy bed, maybe not your place. but it has everything you need otherwise. It's a great location on duval, you're close enough to the action and you're within walking distance to a beach. The breakfast in the morning is adequate and the staff is very friendly. It's fairly clean, but still, pull the comforter off and go with the sheet and blanket. The king size bed room was very cute with the mosquito netting... but again, i love the intense AC. it's so hot down there you NEED a good AC.

I just stayed here for four nights with my boyfriend, and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the king sized bedroom number 12, which I believe was the Hibiscus Room. It had a very large and comfortable king sized four poster bed with mosquito netting draped across the top. There were also two nightstands, a dresser with a small TV on it, and an armoire, chair and a small table. We also had a private bathroom (which all rooms have). There was a shelf in the bathroom which was great for storing all of our toiletries. We had originally booked a queen sized room but decided to change to a king sized room, which I am glad we did because we had room to unpack and put our clothes away. We got a great rate, it was only $179/night which includes a continental breakfast on the porch in the morning. We never ate the breakfast because we wanted to go out for breakfast, but it looked like they had a good variety of cereal and bread and granola. The inn also has a small pool surrounded by lounge chairs which get plenty of sun, so it is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. The best part about the inn is that it is located far enough up Duval Street so that you can't hear all of the craziness of the bars, but it is close enough that you can walk to all of the bars and restaurants. There is a rooster that likes to make a lot of noise early in the morning, but with the air conditioner on you could barely hear him, and I also brought earplugs. This is a great place to stay if you like bed and breakfasts. It has a great location and the people who work there are very friendly.

We stayed at Duval Gardens for 2 nights this past weekend. It is located on Duval right off Truman, which is a great central location. We were in the Frangipani room, a queen room right off the small pool. Super cute clean room with a queen bed w/ mosquito netting, 2 nightstands, a tiny dresser with a TV, and a large spacious bathroom with a mini refrigerator. The room as well as the entire grounds were very clean and well maintained. My only complaint was that the room was tiny, but we didn't go to Key West to hang out in our hotel room. It was more than adequate for sleeping, showering, etc. Continental breakfast was served on the porch and it was above-average. Their offerings included cereal, bagels, toast, sweet breads, plenty of fresh fruit (whole kiwi, apples, pears, oranges, bananas, sliced fresh pineapple and cantaloupe), hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, and juice. Staff was very nice. Christina was on duty when we arrived and she provided us with a helpful map of where to park. They have limited parking on site so if its full, you have to park on a side street. We easily found parking a couple of blocks away and didn't have to move the car all weekend. Our rate was very reasonable. We paid about $140 which I thought was a bargain compared to other B&Bs we have stayed at. I would definitely recommend Duval Gardens to a friend. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
